Who we are

Talki is provided by Siarhei Sheleh, Poland ("we", "us"). Contact: support@talki.im.

The app

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Talki on Macs you own or control.

If you get Talki from the Mac App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. If it conflicts with these terms for an App Store copy, Apple's agreement prevails. Apple is not responsible for Talki or its support.

Talki is available in a Mac App Store edition and a direct download edition. Their features differ as described on the features page. Preview builds may change or stop working before release.

Talki Plus

Talki Plus is an optional auto-renewing subscription, sold in the Mac App Store edition with monthly and yearly options.

• The price, period and any trial are shown in the App Store before you confirm.
• Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation.
• The subscription renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it in your App Store account settings.
• Plus includes a monthly processing allowance shown in the app. It is not unlimited. We may limit use that looks automated or abusive.
• If we change the price, Apple notifies you as its rules require, and you can cancel before the new price applies.
• Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple under its policies.

When Plus ends, your notes, recordings and free features remain available.

Third-party services

If you connect your own OpenRouter key, your use of OpenRouter and of the model providers behind it is governed by their terms, and you pay their charges. We are not responsible for their availability, pricing or processing. Apple's speech recognition, iCloud and App Store are governed by Apple's terms.

Your content

Your recordings, transcripts and notes belong to you. We claim no rights in them and, apart from processing a Talki Plus request on your behalf, we do not receive them.

You are responsible for what you record. Many places require the consent of everyone being recorded. Talki is designed for your own voice; do not use it to record other people without the permission the law requires.

Transcripts and AI output

Speech recognition and AI cleanup make mistakes. Text produced by Talki may be incomplete or wrong, especially for names, numbers and specialist terms. Check important text before you send or rely on it. That is why Talki keeps the original recording.

Acceptable use

Do not use Talki or our services to break the law, infringe others' rights, harass anyone, try to access our systems without permission, resell managed processing, or circumvent usage limits.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Talki reliable but cannot promise uninterrupted service, particularly for managed models that depend on third parties. We may change or discontinue features. If we discontinue Talki Plus, we will stop renewals and explain the options for any paid period that remains.

We may update these terms. We will show the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you in the app.

Liability

Talki is provided as it is, to the extent the law allows. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for loss of data you did not back up, or for costs charged by third-party providers you chose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

Ending use

You can stop using Talki at any time and delete its library. We may suspend access to our services if you seriously breach these terms.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of Poland. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in its courts. Consumers in the EU may also use their national consumer dispute resolution bodies.
