Your own key
With an OpenRouter key you choose any supported speech model and pay OpenRouter for what you use. Talki adds nothing to that bill. The key is stored in the macOS Keychain and never included in exported notes.

No. Free covers recording, on-device transcription, notes and the dictionary, and it lets you use your own OpenRouter key. Plus is for people who want cloud models without creating and funding an API key.
Prices are set in the App Store and shown in your local currency in the app before you confirm. We will publish them here when Plus goes on sale.
No. Plus includes a monthly processing allowance, shown before you subscribe. Cloud models cost money per minute of audio, and we would rather state a limit than hide one.
Your notes, recordings and dictionary stay on your Mac, and every free feature keeps working. Only the managed models stop.
Cancel any time in your App Store account settings, at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid the next charge. Apple handles payments and refund requests for App Store purchases.
Not at first. The direct edition works with Apple on-device speech and your own OpenRouter key. A web subscription for it may come later.
